Our Role Models are Machines

Review by Something Used

Cyanotic -- psychotic to those who won't give them a chance. One listen to the first note on this CD, and yes, you may be driven away...but if you don't give Cyanotic a chance, how will you know if you like them or not? Mutual Bonding Through Violation is an inventive, fast-paced, party-never-stops, interesting, imaginative, something-to-bang-your-head-to CD.

This CD blends rock, heavy metal, industrial, and techno all in one, (so shoot me if I'm wrong.) For someone who doesn't listen or even like industrial and techno music, this CD rocked my socks. The cross-fading in the songs make them all blend into one very nicely, almost as if they're telling a story. Some of the tracks on this CD may remind you of Nine Inch Nails, which can be a good or bad thing to some... you really have to give the CD a chance if you wanna enjoy it.

The tracks are mind-bogglingly deep-there's a lot going on in each song, it's like opening Pandora's Box. You could listen to this CD over and over again and still not hear each song the way you did the first time you listened to it that’s how much detail is in each song. Some of the tracks (in are very club/underground party worthy. Take tracks the remixes by Ceoxime and Iammynewt that close the disc -- if you were to just omit the lyrics and leave the songs as instrumental -- you have a couple of great club songs.

If you're into techno/rock/heavy metal/industrial music -- then you should by all means go out and buy/borrow/steal/shoplift/get the CD.
